On June 23rd, 2020, we launched our inaugural Women of Color Commercial Directing Program (WCCDP) and were elated to receive over one-hundred applications. After careful and thoughtful deliberation, we narrowed down our applicants to 10 finalists, who were then presented to our distinguished panel of finalist judges. These judges meticulously reviewed our finalists materials and helped choose our 2020 WCCDP winner. So without further ado, we are proud to announce Stacy Pascal Gaspard and her project “Isadora” as the winner of our program!

Isadora Logline: When a young ballerina doubts herself because of insecurity over her appearance, her father lifts her spirits with an impromptu dance of his own in the glow of their Subaru’s headlights; a performance that becomes a little tradition of theirs for years to come.
We are already well underway with turning Stacy's vision into reality! Our team will be supplying Stacy with script feedback, creative guidance, full pre-production and principal photography support, as well as, post-production support from select sponsors to bring her Subaru spec commercial to life. Stacy will also receive one-on-one mentorship with some of our finalist judges and future directing opportunities with the Paxeros team.
We'd also like to announce our second and third place finalists! Although we are only able to produce one spot this year, we would still like to acknowledge their incredible submissions. Along with our Stacy, they will each get one-on-one mentorship calls with some of our finalist judges, and they will each receive a free rental of our Alexa Mini Camera package and Angenieux EZ zoom lenses for a project of their choosing!
